    Economy growing at 1%

Rich getting interest on their money at 4%

Therefore everyone else is getting poorer.

Don’t delude yourself in a lifetime of believing the housing market will collapse or that prices can’t continue to rise. That somehow some affordability ceiling will appear.

The rich have growing piles of money and no one else to put it. Gold has doubled, housing can too.

Well… FDIC only insures $250k per deposit account. If shit really hits the fan, FDIC doesn’t have enough cash to bail out everybody. Guess who will lose most of their money proportionally to their total wealth? Hint: not rich people who diversified their wealth.

I remember in 2008 when the banks lost billions and had crashed, so the governments took literally all the tax payers money and bailed them out.

The system literally cannot be rigged more in their favour. It is impossible for them to fail because they are insured with your money.

My wife and I both decided that we would be cremated instead of buried, and then have our ashes combined and shot into space… or the ocean. Whichever is more practical. That way we can adventure together for the rest of time.

That aside… I was talking with one of my buddies last night. He has a house, and I’ve lamented being stuck renting forever. He tries really hard to see the good in whatever situation may come, and my situation is no exception. He started listing off all of the issues he’s had with his house, even after essentially re-engineering the electrical and water systems, and almost the entire supporting structure. I guess it helped, I mean if my water heater decides to take a shit, I can just call the landlord and they’ll handle it…

I rent, and I wish it was that easy. I have to twist my landlord’s arm into doing anything and she always complains about how much it costs. We had sewage backing up into the basement and she didn’t want to pay for the emergency plumber. Ugh. I dream of my own apartment with a decent landlord.

I can only hope this is an attempt at ashen-dry humor.
